I think the Amazon buy on Senseo pods (with free shipping) is a good value when compared to in store purchase prices and the convenience is a bonus.

Everyone I know that uses a pod brewer at home or work loves it. Fresh coffee made to order, endless variety, no waste, etc. It is a shame that so many settle for the coffee pods made by big commerical roasters like Melitta and Douwe Egberts. The blends used by these big companies are bland and boring compared to all the great coffees offered by smaller roasters. Having had the opportunity to taste a variety of pods, I hope the list below of my favorites is helpful. Many of these are also much better coffee at a lower price! Many of the pods listed below are around 30

I’m not a very big coffee drinker, but absolutely LOVE this particular blend. I tried the light roast and the dark roast as well but they were a tad bit too light/heavy … this is just perfect!
Everyone who comes to our home and tries this coffee is surprised how good it comes out — plus the foam that the Senseo coffee maker adds in the end is just the perfect touch 
Will def. recommend and buy this product again.

Have been drinking Senseo Douwe Egbert Medium and Decaf coffee for many years. We even have a back up Machine just in case something fails, it never has. We pour in a dash of whipping cream, sit back and enjoy. RMB.

I wont even buy coffee at starbucks because seriously this is better. I have had my senseo for years and have no desire to have any thing other than this one. I love it so much that I have a new back up machine in a box just in case this one ever goes out. I know that sounds weird but seriously I love this coffee!

My parents are coming to visit in a week and they drink coffee everyday. I don’t drink coffee that often and my husband doesnt like coffee so we don’t have a coffee maker. I was looking for coffee I could put in a tea kettle and make without any mess of coffee grinds and thats why I bought this (not going to buy the expensive little coffee makers for pods!).
I boiled a few cups of water and dropped in a pod earlier today. Stirred it around then let it rest for awhile. I added sugar milk and vanilla and served myself a cup. It is very good, no bitter or yucky after taste. I’m pleased.

Works great just as advertised. We just wanted a good cup of coffee without having to pay a premium for the pods, which are a little difficult to find in our area. We don’t buy special coffee or do any additional grinding. I read lots of reviews and think some people are making this too hard. It’s a little messy to dump the wet grounds but well worth the savings.

I had a senseo coffee machine for over a year. I hated it and never used it because all the pods I bought didn’t fit (although the websites say it would)or the the coffee was so weak it resembled yellow cat urine. I finally decided to get the coffee duck because I was tired of making a pot of coffee for one cup. When you buy the coffee duck, make sure you read the instructions and put only espresso ground coffee in it. If not, you’ll get weak yellow colored coffee. I use Caffe Kimbo gold medal or Lavazza espresso. When you fill the coffee duck, make sure you leave 4-5mm space on the top and even it out. No need to tamp it down. I prefer the European style stronger coffee, not the weak diner/pancake house type. I press the single cup and then fill the coffee duck again and press the single cup again. Use a knock box to keep all the coffee grounds from dripping all over the kitchen floor. I found that there’s no need to rinse the coffee duck inbetween making my serving of coffee. I just wipe clean the edges after knocking out as much wet espresso ground that I can. When I’m done, then I rinse and dry the coffee duck. Now I use this everyday. Now how do I get rid of all those coffee pods in my basement?….
3 Stars high quality item, but makes weak coffee
I understand to get the strongest coffee, you use an espresso coffee, but the product states you can use any of your favorite coffees so that’s what I’m basing this review on. For the test, I used Dunkin Donuts Extra Bold coffee.
From the pictures, the coffee duck doesn’t look lengthy at all. Once you see it in person it’s a different story. The handle doesn’t need to be that long imo. It doesn’t get in the way, but it looks rather silly.
I filled the coffee duck to the top with Dunkin Donuts coffee and pressed the double cup button. It looked good coming out, but the taste wasn’t what I expected.
As far as cleaning goes, it’s rather messy. It can’t compare to dumping coffee pods.
For the price I paid for the Coffee Duck (sixteen dollars), it’s not worth it for me. Maybe it makes an excellent cup of tea? That will be my next test.

Purchased a Senseo as a gift for my husband, who is a coffee lover, but who I also knew wouldn’t always be apt to purchase the pods to have on hand. I thought this would be great to go with it so that he could use it with whatever coffee he chooses, at the quality that he prefers, and at any time he wishes. I just hoped that it would work well for him – and sure enough he loves it! Almost never have any of the Senseo pods on hand – as predicted – so this has been used often and is a great value! (Especially compared to the price of pods.) Plus allows more variety when you can use coffee you prefer, which also gives different options to guests. Would definitely recommend.

5 Stars Makes the BEST coffee ever!
I have tried a number of pod single serve coffeemakers; but after much research based on Amazon reviews such as this, I bought the Breville. With the K-cups you have much more of a variety of coffees than with other coffeemaker brands. My only negative comment is that when it first starts to brew it vibrates and the base rattles and is a bit noisy. Other than that it is really the perfect coffeemaker.

I really struggled with spending the $ on this item but I have to say it has been worth every penny of it. I grind my own coffee, buy the empty pod papers wherever I can get free shipping and make my own coffee pods at the strength and flavors that I like. I’ve had this item for quite some time now and find it still works perfectly for our needs. Highly recommended!
1 Star Danger – Do Not Buy This Product
We ordered our Perfect Pod Maker and it arrived today. We took it out of the box, plugged it in and……..nothing. It won’t heat up at all. Judging from past reviews it seems like the time frame for having it work is getting shorter and shorter until now it doesn’t work at all. I called the company to find out how to return it and got a recording. A real piece of crap. I’m sorry I wasted my money. To rate this item I had to choose one star. That’s even pushing it. I would rate it zero stars.
4 Stars Finally, great coffee from my pod maker
Bought this for a gift for the girlfriend and we both love it. We have differing tastes in pod coffee and buying pods for each of us was getting expensive. We both agree on a few brands of beans (Dunkin and White Castle especially), and this has become our perfect solution. Just the right amount of coffee and into the pod maker, 10 seconds later and you’re done. We’ll do a weeks worth in an evening and be done with it.
5 Stars Perfect Pod Maker is PERFECT for Coffee Lovers
The Perfect Pod Maker is a brilliant invention. It’s easy to use, fast and really does make the perfect pod. I grind up 100% Kona coffee, fill the pod and I’m ready to start brewing on my Senseo. I have to use the double pod holder, but I only click the single for a nice 4oz cup of coffee. It’s smooth and delicious. You save so much money by using this and the coffee tastes so much better. One of the pods didn’t seal well, but I just turned on the Pod Maker and re-sealed it. All my other pods I made had no issues at all. They sealed tight and made a great cup of coffee. Very happy with this item and I’ll must make my own coffee from now on.
