DeLonghi BCO120T Combination Coffee Espresso Machine

Brew coffee and espresso simultaneously with this all-in-one countertop appliance. The convenient unit features an espresso machine on one side and a coffeemaker on the other. Its Vario system and Accuflavor selector dials allow for choosing the desired strength of espresso or coffee, plus it can be programmed for brewing at a later time thanks to its digital timer.
The espresso machine provides a 4-cup espresso carafe, a stainless-steel filter with a two-cup adaptor, and a swivel Jet Frother that mixes steam, air, and milk to produce a rich, creamy froth for great cappuccinos. Safety features include an adjustable steam emission and a pressurized steam system with a safety valve and steam safety cap.
The unit’s 10-cup coffeemaker offers a swing-out filter for easy access and cleaning, a deep removable drip tray, and a thermostatic warming plate so the last cup is as hot as the first. A dishwasher-safe lidded glass carafe with water-level indicator comes included, and a drip-stop mechanism allows for removing the carafe at any time to pour a cup midbrew. In addition, the unit’s unique dual-function filter accommodates both E.S.E. pods and ground espresso. The 1500-watt coffee-and-espresso machine measures 11 by 17 by 14-1/6 inches and carries a one-year warranty.

1 Star COFFEE MAKER LEAKS
I purchased this February of 2008, after 1 month it started leaking, I thought it was condensation, my counter top and floor in that area are ruined. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I’m disappointed because it makes really good coffee and cappuccino. Waste of money.
1 Star leaky and lame
I got this model for our home and have had nothing but trouble ever since! Let’s just say this: when I purchased this coffee maker/espresso maker, I didn’t expect to fight my way through the immense and continuous LAKE that formed underneath the machine every time I made a pot of brew! I happen to be one of those people that finds waking up and getting possibly electrocuted before breakfast just a bit too much for my liking, thank you very much! The leak lake stops here.
1 Star Save Your Money
I received this coffee maker as a gift and immediately the timer control stopped working. My son and daughter-in-law also received this same model and have a problem with the brewing process (it stops in the middle of brewing). Unfortunately, this is their 2nd unit that has this problem (their first one had to be replaced due to the same issue). Although it carries a year warranty, I was told that I had to bring in/ship the unit to the nearest service center. In my case, there are no centers in my state, so I would have to pay for shipping. Between the cost of shipping, along with the inconvenience and problems with this coffee maker, I am very dissatisfied,
I would like to add that since I first wrote this review (in February) my machine has now stopped brewing in the middle of the cycle and has leaked water all over my counter (it’s now the beginning of April).
4 Stars It’s designed to “leak”
My machine “leaks” as well, however since I move it forward on the counter to put the water tank in, I have seen the water when I slide it back and not been unknowingly wetting my counter like others. I searched “delonghi bco-120t leaking” and I got this product page. I read 3 pages of reviews and then inspected the unit closely. It is designed to drain water from the compartment where the tank goes through a hole in the corner. I personally think the design should NOT have included a hole. That would allow you to use the tank as a convenience for easy filling, but ALSO allow you to just fill the compartment up in the event you prefer to, or crack/lose etc… the tank. I tried a few test brews of just water and have found the most likely reason for water getting to that drain hole is “user error.” The tank needs to fit into the bottom quickly and tightly. If it is lightly pressed down, it might leak out into the compartment, and consequently out the drain hole onto the counter.
Just push it down nice and tightly and hopefully you’ll be ok.
The carafe does seem thinner and broke after dropping a fork into a full of water carafe in the sink. $27 to replace from gourmet dot com I think.
1 Star Horrible product and service
We purchased this direct from Delonghi. It broke within 2 months. For warranty service we had to send it at our expense to a service center. They’ve had it for 3 weeks and haven’t even looked at it. The rep was rude and told us they may not get to it for 5 weeks. That’s before they even look at it!!! Delonghi customer service basically told us TFB. Some friends of ours bought a Delonghi coffee maker and it failed within only a few months too. Avoid this coffee maker.
